Mentoring in CPA firms is a developmental process that is designed to help identify future leaders, and to be an instrumental part of succession planning. The mentoring process also provides a venue for newer members of the firm to benefit from the knowledge of more experienced members. This course is designed to provide an overivew of the mentoring process in CPA firms and to introduce the ways that mentoring gives today's firms a competitive edge.
The third edition of Dr. Gatto's book, Mentoring Process for CPA/CAs has recently been released. This book is often utilized as a companion piece to the workshop. (However, it is not required to purchase the book to participate in this MAPCast.)
Many key points are taken from Mentoring Process for CPA/CAs to introduce the workshop participants to the concept of mentoring and the benefits that it provides to the firm, and the individuals who are a part of it.
