What is an AAA MAPCast?
An AAA MAPCast is a live, interactive 60-minute conference presented over the telephone and over the Internet. You can attend from any location that has telephone and Internet access. You pay just one registration fee for as many participants as you wish at each call/log-in location.

Note that high-speed Internet access is not mandatory – the system works with dial-up but you must have separate connections for the audio and video portions. You may use cell phones for the audio if you have only one connection.


Who presents at an AAA MAPCast?

Your MAPCast will have one or more speakers who are recognized experts on the topic. Conferences typically include a Q&A session; you can ask questions by phone or instant messaging options.

CPE Credits
AAA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. We will be bringing back AAA's own technology guru Roman H. Kepczyk, CPA.CITP to give you a peek into what will be on the leading and bleeding edge for technology tools, applications and processes. Preview some of his discoveries from the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show that you could find in your office, your home and in your pocket!

Presenter Bio(s)
Roman H. Kepczyk, CPA is President of InfoTech Partners North America, Inc. and the Lead Technology Management Strategist for the firm. His primary focus is helping firms throughout North America effectively use information technology by implementing best practices and directing them towards today's "paperless" or Digital CPA firm.

Mr. Kepczyk was named by INSIDE Public Accounting as one of the profession's Most Recommended Consultants for 2004, 2005 and 2006, and Accounting Today's Most Influential People for the years 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Roman is also an Advisory Board Member to the Association for Accounting Administration and has served on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Society of CPAs. He has been a featured National and Regional speaker to thousands of CPA firms on information technology. Recent speaking engagements include topics of Today's Digital CPA Firm, Strategic Technology Management, Security and Privacy, Technology Tools and the Impact of Remote Computing/Virtual Office.

On a technical level, Roman is an AICPA Certified Information Technology Professional. He authored technology chapters for the PPC MAP Handbook, PPC Guide to Paperless Engagements, and sections of the AICPA MAP Handbook as well as co-authored the 2003 AICPA Top Technologies Guide and 2004 AICPA Guide to Understanding and Controlling Spam. He has also authored the AAA Guide to CPA Firm Intranets as well as co-authored their 2003 Guide to Paperless CPA Firm Administration.
