The New Jersey Chapter of the Association for Accounting Administrators is taking a new approach to providing every member with useful tools and information that they can take back to their firms, managing partners, and members. The Chapter leadership is encouraging firms of all sizes to give it a try this year as they plan to provide benefit no matter your firm size.  Participants are also encouraged to bring another member of their firm if they think that the topic will be beneficial to them. 

Some of the ways we are changing the meetings are:

  • This year they will have an employment attorney at each of their meetings to provide updates on what is going on in employment, trends, and law changes.  Also it will be a forum to ask questions and gain some advice.
  • They will have a technology professional who is immersed in working with accounting firms and the technology that is used at each meeting.  He will provide useful information on trends and what is coming.  Also allowing participants to ask those questions that they might have or they bring along their office IT person if they ever have any questions they would like to ask.
  • The Chapter is looking to do two topics at each meeting. One that will be better suited for large firms and one for the small to mid-size firms.
  • The Chapter has asked other experts in specific areas to attend each meeting, similar to the attorney, but do not want to make any announcements just yet until they have received confirmation.  So stay tuned for more NJ Chapter news to come!
